I began my real estate career in April 1986 with the residential division of Regional Realty. The following year I won the "Rookie of the Year" award for sales excellence. I was fortunate enough to be professionally trained and mentored by one of the top real estate trainers in the industry at that time, which gave me the tools to provide professional service to Buyers and Sellers alike.
In October 1988 I joined Royal LePage Real Estate Services, Ltd., Brokerage and within a short period of time I became the office’s top agent. In 1991, I was looking to expand my creativity and exercise more independence. It was time for a change. In spring of that year I joined RE/MAX metro-city realty Ltd, Brokerage. Creating a Worry-Free Experience
My experience and success as one of Ottawa’s top-selling agents means you do not have to worry. I was born and raised in Ottawa and have lived and worked here all of my life, including owning a family retail business before I began my career in real estate. I know the Ottawa real estate market very well. I was Director of the Ottawa Real Estate Board from 2002 to 2005 and President of the Ottawa Real Estate Board in 2006 and Past President in 2007. For many years I was involved with the Standards of Business Practices and Ethics at the Board, including being Chairman and Judge at Discipline Hearings.
In addition to my years of success in the real estate industry, I am consistently upgrading my skills via real estate courses, seminars and attending national real estate conventions. In 2007, I transitioned into a management position at the RE/MAX office on Carling Avenue where I worked as an agent. I was in charge of running the office and I mentored and guided over 30 Real Estate Agents to help them meet and exceed their professional goals. In 2011, after five years in management, I returned to residential sales full-time.
